1922-1935 – 90% SILVER PEACE DOLLAR CIRCULATED The obverse aspect presentations the profile, facing left, of a Girl Liberty with radiating crown. The reverse presentations a bald American eagle clutching an olive branch and is perched on a rock that has the inscription “Peace” written on it. The Girl Liberty was once modelled by Teresa, wife of Italian immigrant Anthony de Francisci who won the competition for the design of the peace buck which was once in keeping with the true statue of Liberty. The peace buck is special within the sense that it commemorates the restoration of peace after World War I.
